Thank you for continually supporting the OZ industry and this incredible ecosystem that we are all part of! As we continue to evolve together and develop more products and services that are solution-based, we want to fill you in on some of the happenings behind the scenes at OZworks Group…
In the last few months, we have noticed many of you advancing your OZ knowledge because of your engagement with our sessions and content. As your insights grow, your readiness to execute an OZ strategy does as well, but then what?!
Our goal is to make sure you are supported inside of this community and that you have the resources you need to progress. In order to solve your challenges more efficiently we have initiated a strategic alliance with Ashley Tison at OZpros. Since the inception of the OZ incentive Ashley and his team have been guiding many of you through your plans. The services and sessions offered at OZpros are incredible and Ashley is making the format of his strategy calls available to our members in new and unique ways.
A few weeks ago we hosted a group strategy format to solve some challenges that a member was having. Matt, became a member of OZworks Group after an OZpros strategy call, in order to have ongoing support. He came to many zoom sessions and we got to know him and his project. On a weekly Friday session, he was paired with me in a breakout room, and when I inquired how things were going he said, “I think I hit a snag.” I asked him to elaborate and quickly identified that there were some solutions to his situation! Matt became a test subject for our first group strategy session and I’d encourage you to watch the following video to see how this process is designed to support our members.
Some of the topics we discussed regarding Matt’s project are:
- Conveyance of land values and percentages of properties that are deemed “good” and “bad” assets in Opportunity Zones.
- How you can potentially split and qualify land across Opportunity Zones.
- How the OZ extension and improvements Bill could influence OZ planning.
- Rules and regulations surrounding substantial improvements in Opportunity Zones.
